Watch Me Grow is a MEGA kit designed by Mommy Made This and By Christin. It is three seperate kits (which can be combined) that is all about babies and their first years. But there is so much in these kits that you don't have to have a baby to use the kits. I just loved the baby stuff so much I went and dug up my kids baby pictures to scrap. My kids and I reminised (spelled wrong) for about an hour looking through their baby pictures! That stork and the baby toys are just too cute.
These designers have a Girl kit, a Boy kit and a Neutral kit. They have plans for doing a BIG Quick Page pack too. And you have to keep your eye out for the Add-Ons too! They plan on doing "babies firsts."

When I saw the preview of this kit by AmyDane Designs in the SNP store, I knew I had to have it. My son just loves playing with his cars and this kit is perfect to scrap all those pictures of him playing with them.

I just love the colors, so bright and cheerful. There are many elements to add just that perfect touch to any car related layout. My favorites are too many to name but I'll mention a few; lots of directional arrows, a "road" alpha, street signs, many varieties of moving vehicles not to mention the smoke puffs too!

Wonderful Winter and free QP's

How are your snowy and winter layouts coming along? Wonderful Winter by Christin is the perfect kit to get those layouts done. It has the usual blues and purples that go so nicely with snowy photos and the kit has touches of brown and green for those not so snowy, snow pictures. A Traditional Christmas

Well, so far my Christmas decorating is not traditional. We are going to have 3 trees instead of the one big one. We are going to have each kid decorate their own tree and mom and dad will decorate the third tree.

We have planned the traditional dinner of calamari, antipasta, meat sauce, eggplant, and much more. Plus the Italian pastries and other assorted desserts not to mention a fruit plate.

Do you have the perfect kit to scrap your holiday pictures yet? Than again, you can never have too many holiday kits!!!

A Traditional Christmas by Christin is exactly as it's name implies. It has the traditional colors of red, white and green with gold and glitter. There is a Santa hat, lots of snowflakes for the white Christmas eveyone hopes to see, bows, presents, ornaments and a tree!

Little Monsters for Halloween

How many little monsters do you have? I had some pictures left from last Halloween that still needed to be scrapped. And I know I'll be taking plenty of pictures in a couple of weeks.

Lovely Creations has the perfect kit for those Little Monsters. Actually, the name of the kit is Little Monsters. The colors are the usual Halloween colors but the elements include many little monsters including a vampire, mummy, reaper and ghost.

Wonderful Fall Freebie and much more

This is my favorite layout I made this week. This was a challenge of the week at SNP where we had to cut the word out of a piece of paper! Yes, it's from Disney! It is on the Boardwalk. Kit used is Summer Sailor by Digital Harmony Design Studio.

This layout I made following speed scrap instructions at STS. More about this layout later.

By the time you read this post, I'll be in Disney World. We would have completed our first ever cruise. With our first cruise being the most magical, we went on the Disney Dream. I'm sure you'll see lots and lots of layouts from this experience over the next few months and probably years because I know I still grab a picture or two from our trip in 2009 to scrap.

Anyway, the theme for this month's blog train is a Little Bit of Me Time. I LOVE the colors of this train and had this completed probably two weeks ago. I could have done more but trip plans and other obligations got in the way.

School is opening and a new Lovely Creations kit

Lovely Creations has a new kit that was just released. It is called Preschooler. It is not only useful for preschool pictures but for art pictures as well.

Christin has done it again with her fantastic kit specific elements. There is a ruler, paint splats, a bookbag, paints, crayons and whole bunch of kit necessities like ribbons and bows and flowers.

Before I show you Preschooler, I want to show you my portion of the blog train that will be released on September 1st. The theme is "Me Time." You will have to come back on the first to pick it up. This time I will not have the whole list of participants on my blog, just some to get you started. I'm leaving for vacation and I'll be scheduling the post before I leave. Not everyone has their portion ready yet so I can only get the codes for those that are ready so far.

My daughter has been in the Girl Scouts since she was in Kindergarten. I've found the perfect kit to scrap all those pictures I've accumulated over the years. This kit is just perfect. It has all the girl scout colors, their cookies and little girls in their uniforms.

Even if you don't have a girl scout this kit is perfect. It has a bunch of ribbons, strings, flowers, rainbows and other fun elements. The alpha is great too and has a variety of uses.

Nicole of Digi-Designs by Nicole is giving one lucky blogger a change to win three kits from her store. All I have to do is write about the three kits I would love to have.

For me it is a no-brainer. We go to Disney every other year and are planning a Disney cruise on the Dream for August. Taking over 1200 pictures on each visit to Disney I sure have plenty to scrap.

Nicole has three kits that I would love to have that I can scrap ALL of those pictures! The images are linked to her store at Stuff to Scrap.

The first kit is Dreamin'. It has the popular colors of red, black, yellow and white, just what you need for those Mickey and gang photos.

Sorry, this kit was retired.

The next kit is called Infinity & Beyond. You guessed it. It is based on Buzz Lightyear but it can be used for anything that's outta this world.

The third kit that I would Love to have is called Let's Go Again. It's fun elements and metallic word art in addition to the fireworks elements also makes this kit perfect for much more than a visit to Disney.

Week 4 Submission

Another week has come and gone but not without a treat for you! This week we were challenged to make our own designer resources. I've decided to go with a star theme. The colors for the sample papers were the same colors as I used for Truly A Boy, so it's can be used with the kit from last week (I hope you picked it up at Stuff to Scrap).

I've learned and done things with Photoshop Elements I've never done before. I made a layered paper and saved each layer seperately. I've also made a close up on my preview. Always learning, always learning. Well anyway...

Once again, these can only be picked up at Stuff to Scrap. Head on over and vote for your favorite (hopefully it's mine LOL).

Week 3 Submission

Everyone was able to move on to week 3 because a few people dropped out and we were down to 21 contestants. I don't think this week anyone will be cut either. Than the following week, I think they will cut it down to 10 contestants. So you benefit. I'll have another something for you next week. I still owe you an add-on for my Puzzled kit too. I have my links for this week at Stuff to Scrap again. So head over there to pick it up and take a look and snag the other fantastic kits by the other contestants. (I wouldn't want to be a judge now!!!)

Week 2 Submission

This week for the Designer Darling Competition we were given two colors and we had to come up with a palette and a theme. Coming up with the theme was the hard part this week until my daughter, my husband and myself were working on our second puzzle of the week. Than the idea came to me. Hence Puzzled was born.

Here is a layout I did with this kit using the inspiration pictures.

Unfortunately, if you want the kit, you'd have to go to the Stuff to Scrap forum. Registration is required but free. I'll have a freebie for this kit on my blog soon... either an alpha or an add-on. Everyone needs to be registered in order to vote for their favorite kit.

On another note, this month's blog train is March of the Animals. I hope to get something together for this as well. I hope I'm not too ambitious as the Designer Darling Contest has been taking up a lot of my free time.

Well, I'm almost done! ..... Way back on Christmas Eve I made a post where I said that I will have more exciting news for you around January 17th. As you know, I'm an active member of the STS forum. This month they started their search for Designer Darlings and I applied. For the next six weeks the contestants will be designing kits using the criteria that was set up each week. Week 1 ends tomorrow night. I will be posting the kit before than (maybe I should be finishing that now instead of doing this) LOL. Duh! Let me go. I'll post again tomorrow!

Have you seen Little Boy in Corduroy by Scrapteam2008? It is a beautiful "boy" kit with greens, reds, browns and tans. It has 12 papers, 56 elements and an upper case alpha. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I'm back with some good news! I accepted the position as CT for Ashlee from Designs by Ashlee.

She recently released a new kit called Under My Tree. It is great to scrap all those pictures you took for the Christmas holiday. It has muted greens and reds. My favorite elements are the boy and girl in PJ's and the realistic looking presents. I've made two layouts using the kit.

As a treat for my readers I made two little freebies to go along with this kit. One is the cluster I made for one of the pages. The other is a little doodad I made. My readers benefit. I was experimenting with weaving using some of the elements from Ashlee's kit. You could put it on top of a circle of a color of your choice and you made yourself an ornament.

I'm considering trying out for the Designer Darling Competition at Stuff to Scrap. I know I've been designing for quite some time now, but I don't think I have what it takes to be a "real" designer. What do you think?

Safe and Sound Blog Train and IDNSD

I know its hard to raise little ones. I did it twice. I was always afraid of work sites, balloons and water, to name a few. When I saw the theme for this months' blog train at Stuff to Scrap, I knew I had to participate. The theme is Safe and Sound. The colors are bright and bold. Hop on the train and get all the fantastic stuff at each stop along the way.

Sept Color Challenge

This month I've decided to do the Color Challenge at STS. The colors were pale, earthy and beautiful. When I started working on this kit, I was calling it "Wounded." Other designers posted their contribution before me and had the same theme. The designer juices got side tracked because I lost the pictures (due to a computer virus last year) of my daughters cast when she dislocated her elbow. Anyway, I kept those pieces and went flowery. So here is my mixed contribution.

I was given the opportunity to work with a fantastic kit. The name of it is "Among the Stars" and the designer is Mom2Moo Designs. The kit uses bright, bold colors and has lots of stars. I can't get over the cute little astronaut that is included.

Mom2Moo Designs has her products in two stores: Digital Scrap Ink and Scraps with a Mouse

I made two pages using this kit, one of which I made into a freebie for my readers.

I'm reposting this freebie for two reasons.
1- Liz Odle asked if I could compress the file with "zip" instead of "rar." I did some research and it was really easy. Liz let me know if this works for you!
2- As of this writing I have 498 downloads, I new record for me. I'm hoping that just two more people download so I can get an ego boost, which always comes in handy.

A mini mini freebie

Well this month came and gone and I forgot all about finishing this kit from Scrapkit Challenge. I've been doing kits for that Challenge for over a year now. Unfortunately the participation there is shrinking. The April colors are red, black and white and is called Formal. Unfortunately, those colors and theme aren't appealing to me. Maybe I'll add yellow and do a "Disney-ish" kit... but I'll see.
I am working on the color pallet at Stuff to Scrap. I think this will be flowery and pretty.
It's the ideas and color pallets I have a hard time coming up with. Maybe I'll look into doing collabs with friends... anyone interested. LOL.

Happy Valentines Day... Love Bug kit

This month at Scrapkit Challenge the theme was Love Bug. A Valentine's color palett. I have it done now so why wait. It is a complete kit with a full alpha too!

Before I get to the freebie, I wanted to show you a couple of layouts that I completed recently. The first one used the Princess kit by Nathalie of KittenScraps.

Not the Gumdrop Buttons by Miss Kim Designs was used on this layout. This layout was done for the February Quote Challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

This layout was done for the Use It or Lose It Challenge also at Stuff to Scrap. The kit used is Everyday Moments by Little Red Scraps.

I don't know how many of my readers know about Nathalie MacKay of Kitten Scraps. She's creating two kits simultaneously giving out papers or elements almost daily (I don't know how she does it with her full house). One kit is called Mischief and has bold colors of red, blue, yellow and green. The other kit is called Princess and has soft colors of pink, blue, green and yellow.

Nathalie put up a challenge for her readers to either make quick pages or add-ons to her kits and I took that challenge. I choose the Princess kit to work with. I absolutely love those soft colors.

Small Freebie

Sorry for not blogging in soooo long. I've been extremely busy. Last month it was the holidays and cleaning up from after our vacation. Now it seems like we do school, HW, therapy for DS, dinner and workout. (DH and I started a weight loss program for the New Year. We need it for our health.) Weekends are for shopping and running errands.

Anyway here is what I started for the ScrapKit Challenge. Never got around to finishing it.

Indian Summer / Falling Into Winter

It's been a crazy month. I've been working pretty steady. Then I come home, have snack, take ds to therapy (speech or OT), do HW with DD, run errands, dinner, chores... what time is left after that. We bought a bunk bed for my kids. We had to rearrange the room for it. Last minute errands for our family vaction to Disney and then packing.

I did manage to get this mini together for you. It is not what I originally had in mind when I came up with this color pallett for the ladies at Scrapkit Challenge to use. Maybe when we get back from vacation on Dec. 4th I'll add to this kit if I have time.

The blog train, unfortunately, will have to wait until I get back from vacation. If you are really desperate, you can look down at the last post for those participants. They'll have the new train stops out on time (hopefully).

First of all there is a kit for sale at Stuff to Scrap that I really would like to get my hands on. It is inspired by the Great Mouse. The name of the kit is called "Dreamin" and it was designed by Nicole from Digi-Designs by Nicole. The kit costs $3.99 and you can get it here.
My family is going to Walt Disney World FL in three weeks and this will come in handy. LOL

Morning Solitude Blog Train

Good morning. I'm not working today so I figured I post this before DH gets home. The great ladies at Stuff to Scrap (STS) has put together a wonderful blog train. The colors are so calming. I love them and couldn't resist participating this month. I guess many others felt the same way. You can see by the number of participants.
