Indian Summer / Falling Into Winter

It's been a crazy month. I've been working pretty steady. Then I come home, have snack, take ds to therapy (speech or OT), do HW with DD, run errands, dinner, chores... what time is left after that. We bought a bunk bed for my kids. We had to rearrange the room for it. Last minute errands for our family vaction to Disney and then packing.

I did manage to get this mini together for you. It is not what I originally had in mind when I came up with this color pallett for the ladies at Scrapkit Challenge to use. Maybe when we get back from vacation on Dec. 4th I'll add to this kit if I have time.
The blog train, unfortunately, will have to wait until I get back from vacation. If you are really desperate, you can look down at the last post for those participants. They'll have the new train stops out on time (hopefully).

Lots of News

First of all there is a kit for sale at Stuff to Scrap that I really would like to get my hands on. It is inspired by the Great Mouse. The name of the kit is called "Dreamin" and it was designed by Nicole from Digi-Designs by Nicole. The kit costs $3.99 and you can get it here.
My family is going to Walt Disney World FL in three weeks and this will come in handy. LOL

Next, and I almost forgot. Sorry it is a couple of days late. The Sweet Tooth blog train...

Have you seen this beautiful kit by Manda's Scrappin' Creations? It's called Home Sweet Home and it's full of rich fall colors... browns, reds, and greens. It's in her store at Stuff to Scrap for just $2.99.
Here is the link to the store.

Morning Solitude Blog Train

Good morning. I'm not working today so I figured I post this before DH gets home. The great ladies at Stuff to Scrap (STS) has put together a wonderful blog train. The colors are so calming. I love them and couldn't resist participating this month. I guess many others felt the same way. You can see by the number of participants. Clear some space on your hard drive and start downloading all those soothing goodies.
The Scrapkit Challenge Blog train will take off on November 1st or 2nd. Stay tuned for the rest of the Sweet Tooth participants.

Sweet Tooth Alpha... anyone going to Disney next month

Is anyone going to Disney next month? We're leaving on Thanksgiving and staying until Dec. 4. We're staying at Pop Century. My family loves meeting peope that share our interests from other parts of the country.

Here is my last part of this kit. The "Dot Candy" alpha.

Grcicfamily this note is for you. :) Scrapkit Challenge gives a color pallet and a theme each month for us to work on. Everyone does their own interpretation of the kit. As each person does their own thing weekly (or when they can) they then put it on their blogs (if they want or they can wait until the post date). The links to the blogs are collected and posted on each particiapants blog. This month our links are due Oct. 31 and we get the collected links on Nov. 1 and post them as soon as we can. If you want to collect the "kit" sooner, you could join Scrapkit Challenge for free.

Sweet Tooth Elements

Here is a layout I did for a Speed Scrap at Stuff to Scrap. The kit is called Bright Star by Manda at Scrappin' Creations. For some reason mine was quit different from the others that did the challenge. I do love the way it turned out though. Where can you get a layout done in just over an hour and have fun doing it. We get one instruction every ten minutes. Seven instructions in an hour. Save it and post it and we're done.

Here are the Elements for Sweet Tooth. I got a little carried away. Please leave a comment if you download. It helps my self-esteem!!! The alpha will follow in a day or two. If you remember, they have the dot candy involved somehow.
The blog train for this will be out at the beginning of next month as usual.

Sweet Tooth Papers and elements to follow this week

Currently on the homefront, I've worked every day for the past two weeks. I hope that is indicative of how the year is going to be. Hubby is in therapy for his back now. They say it's because he is favoring one side since the surgery as the leg still bothers him. Kids are doing great. DD loves school. DS is trying to get out of diapers, but no luck there yet.

This months theme at Scrapkit Challenge is "Sweet Tooth." My first look at the color pallet reminded me of Dot Candy. That is what was my inspiration for this kit. My papers are up first. The elements are done already. They should be up tomorrow or Wednesday. Included in the elements are bunch of candy items (look alikes of course). The list includes taffy, sweet tarts, starlights, runts, a lollipop, gum drops, fruit snacks, fruit gummies and of course the inspiration, dot candy. Even the alphabet has the dot candy involved somehow! You'll just have to stay tuned to find out.
