Week 2 and some show and tell

This weeks competition for the Designer Darling Contest is well under way. This week we have to make a monochromatic kit. I came up with 5 color palettes before I finally decided. I finally decided on the first color palette. I'm probably going girly with hearts, flowers and girly tidbits.

Everyone's submissions are due Sunday night. Be sure to stop by and pick up my (I mean everyone's) contributions.

After this week they are cutting it down to the top 20. So that mean 14 will be cut. Please come and vote for me on Monday. I'll let you know when the poll goes up.
Up next is My Sweetheart. A Gorgeous kit by Christin. It's not make with the traditonal reds and pinks but it is so loving! Don't you just love that cute little couple. You can pick it up at her Scraps N Pieces store here.

Designer Darling Contest Entry + Freebie

I've completed my entry for the week 1 Designer Darling Contest at Stuff to Scrap. It was a lot of fun. The colors were super easy to work with. Everyone came up with such unique takes on the challenge. I wouldn't want to be a judge. Unfortunately, I have to put the download link at STS so everyone has to go there to download. Signup is free. Whatever we didn't put into the kit, we could offer as freebies on our blog. I know it's not much but if you pick up the kit at STS, you'll have a nice size kit.

Contest thoughts

I've been working on my entry for the first week of the Designer Darling contest. I posted the colors the other day. I think I'll be doing monsters or robots. I'll see as a design more in the next few days.
Like last year, you will have to go over to Stuff to Scrap to download my entry kit. Whatever I make that I don't put in the kit I'll wrap up and give to you!

Designer Darling Contest is Starting

It's that time of the year again! I'm trying out for the Designer Darling Contest at STS. The winner gets a spot to be a designer in the store! Just got the color palett a few minutes ago. The kit has to be posted by Sunday. Here are the colors I'll be using. Stay tuned for the finished product when I'm done!
